  • UMCA Meeting Recap- General Meeting at Division Brewery - January 9th

    Great Turnout &Tasty Beer for the   First Meeting of 2024

    Almost 50 folks enjoyed tacos and awesome beer and we had some great discussions including the following topics:
    • Legal Minute from Spike Cutler


    • Preview of New UMCA Website
      • Coming soon
      • Includes new features such as online payment, blogs, event registrations, member portal, etc.
    • Update on Workforce Development
      • Adopt-a-School
      • Multiple schools, including Dallas ISD and Fort Worth have committed to teaching Masonry 1, 2, and 3 curriculum in the next school year
    • Update and News from TMC including
      • IDEA Committee- advancing education for architects and engineers to promote Masonry Construction
      • TMC Midyear Meeting- Masonry Summit and Hall of Fame- College Station- March 20-21
      • TMC Convention- Westin Stonebriar- Frisco, TX- September 4-6

    Happy New Year from UMCA!!!
    Dear UMCA Members,

    As we celebrate the end of 2023 and the beginning of 2024, I'm reminded of the many things great things that UMCA has accomplished over the past 12 months.  We continue to be a leader in Workforce Development and have made great strides to start getting more masonry wall-share, in addition to educating our membership through meetings and education sessions.  

    Although 2023 was one for the records, we are gearing up for an even better year in 2024.  

    We invite all of you to join us to get a highlight of our accomplishments of 2023 and the great events that we have planned for our membership in 2024 at our General Membership Meeting on Tuesday, January 9th at Division Brewery (see information and registration below).  

    Thank you for your continued support and passion for the masonry industry.  I can't wait to see you all there and enjoy a drink together to ring in the new year.
